I, honestly, debated on whether or not to even write this one. I decided if I start leaving out the strikes or fumbles or sand traps or any other sports analogies I did not mention, the game or blog, as it is in this case, becomes boring. I didn't personally care for this, and neither did the kiddos. Now, Mark, he said he liked it. I wonder how true that is. I believe he simply may not want to discourage all the new things we have tried, as of late. This dish is the first recipe that we collectively didn't care for (unless you count that Mark liked it and any feces shaped food).
I don't even know where to begin to say how I would do it over, if I could or wanted to. The Asian Chili Garlic sauce was really hot. Don't get me wrong, I like hot...this just wasn't good hot. I think if you halved the chili sauce, it might have been better. But still not good. The brown rice I made did not taste great with this...I think fried rice would have been a better option. So, when ordering this meal, let the waitstaff know these helpful hints. Or at least, that is my game plan to make this a better dinner option.

Just in case any of you know a way to make this better...feel free to tell me how to tweak this one. |
