And I almost answered yes. I'm not quite sure why a seaweed wrapped piece of chicken would sound more appealing to a 12 year old, but I knew I lost him when I said, "No. It's eggplant." I heard a lot of "I don't prefer this dish." coming from the two bigger kids. I had, personally, never tried eggplant parmesan because the lure of chicken parmesan (something I know and recognize) always trumped ordering something new. I enjoyed it. It was almost like a light, crispy, squash-like steak. That didn't make a lot of sense, I should put down the wine.
Anyway, having never tried it, I didn't have anything to judge this particular dish up against. I really liked it. The small people in my house, not so much. If you like eggplant, I'd recommend this one. If you try it and have a comment because you have a standard to hold this to, I'd love to hear it!
