I think since I began this foray into magazine cooking, Taylor has made it known that there are plenty of dessert recipes to be tried. I have a lot of pages marked by the kids that include cookies, cakes, pies.... They seemed to be telling me something. The opportunity presented itself to make a dessert when my folks came up to visit. They landed in New England
ON my dad's birthday and my dad loves banana pudding...AND I just so happened to have a magazine recipe for banana pudding. Congratulations Taylor and Ryan...Mama's making a magazine dessert!

Who Knew Pudding Would Cause This? |
Let me start off with saying, I had no idea how involved it was to make homemade pudding. Wow. Those folks who make instant pudding had the right idea. Smart. It was a fairly adventurous first dessert to make. As seen by my kitchen here. (Please note the wine bottle)
I have to say, I was pretty proud about how it turned out. If you love bananas, pudding, and a little blood, sweat, and tears...this is the dessert for you! I will also add, I forgot to take the picture of the finished product. People were singing 'Happy Birthday' and candles were lit and I just hated to stop everyone to take the picture. I did see the pudding in the background in one of Taylor's cell phone pictures. I tried to zoom in to get some sort of picture of my pudding masterpiece....I'll add it, it's not exactly a good quality shot. AND, I forgot to do the whipped cream...Oh well. The pudding was gone by day 2 and I personally enjoyed it. But, it goes in the category of "only on special occasions".
