One Skillet, 30 Minutes To Cook....Where Do I Sign Up?!

When in doubt, I always turn to the 30 minute supper section of any Cook's Country magazine.  This was a  one skillet dish (uhhhh, yes please!) Skillet Meatballs and Noodles in a Creamy Herb Sauce, one skillet and 30 minutes....where do I sign up?  Let me start off by saying, the meatballs were absolutely out of this world fantastic!  I absolutely will be making them again.  We ate them all.  Which is more than I can say for the noodles.  I don't know what was off about the noodles.  We ate the sauce on the meatballs, so I don't think it was that....  I'm not sure why the noodles tasted weird.  I think the next time I do this dish, I might try it with rice and not cook the rice in the wine sauce.  Maybe that's what was wrong with the noodles....they were boiled in wine/broth.  Maybe next time (unless my family see the noodles and run), I will cook the noodles separately in water, making this a 2 dish meal....It would be worth a try, just to eat the meatballs again.  This is a potential fast and easy go-to staple and replacement of Hamburger Helper.
