Chicken with Honey-Beer Sauce |
So, the big words on page 28 of my September issue of Cooking Light caught my eye.
Super FAST. I'm interested... Then I saw that this issue was the Great Dinners for less issue. I'm listening... And of course, it's in Cooking Light so it's low calorie.... Sold! To the tired mother of 3, in the kitchen, in dire need of a night off...! Living in the Northeast has made me a little skeptical of people, or in this case, recipes. So, it's fast
and cheap
and good for you.... What's the catch?
Fortunately, there was no catch. It was good, it was easy and everyone ate it. Other than my 13 year old using the fact I used beer in the sauce to try to avoid eating it (there were shallots touching the chicken)...."Ummmm, don't I have to be 21 to eat this, mom?" "You don't have to eat the onions, Ryan." "Hand me a plate." and I didn't have a whole grain dijon mustard on hand, so I just used the dijon I owned, this dinner went off without a hitch. I highly recommend giving it a whirl...
