Ryan's Dinner on Carbonara Night |
Look... I took a break from the blog. Maybe, and more accurately, the blog took a brake from me. I've still been cooking like a mad woman.... With not a lot to report. My people (and the recipes) are not working with me. Tonight, it was a house divided. Ryan and Mark Henry weren't having this one. Taylor said it needed more pepper and was just missing something. Mark said, "I like this more than the magazine chicken enchiladas you made on Cinco de Mayo" (that Taylor described as 'it was like eating nothing') "and less than the loaded carbonara" (a magazine recipe I have already posted). Well, good news was that there weren't very many ingredients needed and it was fairly easy. And after we added crushed red pepper, it was definitely better. It wasn't bad...it wasn't great.
